i'm so broke! i need to get pay-ay-ayed. i thought i had more to say; i don't. we went to graves mountain for the apple harvest festival sunday. how about it, scary mountain folk. we have documented proof that you exist; that you crawl out from under dank ass rocks once a year when the smell of apple everything and brunswick stew hits yer nostrils. there were cloggers, too. and i am pretty reassured in my assumption that kanye west is on to fucking something.

oh god, oktoberfest, why do you start in september; why are your beers so huge and delicious, you frothy temptress! they might as well just sell three-liters of german lager like they do grape soda. they would get all drank up, by one person, in one sitting at once. double dang, beers. BEERS.

HALLOWEEN was so good. i kind of want to see it again, only because for the second rob zombie movie in theaters in a row, i've had the loudest most ridiculous girls sitting behind me. it is almost as if they are concerned that everyone else is not watching the movie, so they feel like they need to explain what is happening out loud. except, they really don't know what is going on their damn selves? e.smith and i were real mad; this is what we live for! we did have to laugh out loud though, when at probably the height of terror, we hear "oh girl, i got to pee." "yeah, me too." beat beat "I AIN'T GOIN' TO, THOUGH!!"

ugh it was such a good movie though, so good. so so so ungodly and hilarious and horrifying. bill moseley is in it, and so is danny trejo, and sheri moon zombie, and even sid haig for like two seconds. it was great.

oh my god FUNLAND is having a labor day special on monday, 20 dollars for unlimited rides and attractions. they have lazer tag AND go carts, okay. i just want you to keep that in mind. it can all be yours, all day long for 20 dollars. who is carpooling to glorious fredricksburg, virginia with me on monday to go to FUNLAND!

i listened to pandora online radio all day at work; i don't know how i didn't know about it before. it is great. i tell it what i want to listen to, and it plays it, followed by songs and artists it "thinks i will like," but not just "that was a pop song, here is another pop song," but "these songs share the same subtle melodic qualities and repetitive chord structure." i can make as finite of a station as i want. i can make a station that only streams bratmobile and project pat if i want to. i have that power. i am nerdy over the internet. thanks, internet music scientists.

we have a new dog? he's seven months old and a behemoth already; hugest paws i've ever seen. his name is grady. it sounds like katie, which is just precious. i am going to dress him up in so many costumes.

life is great, summer is busy. i am going to a big pool party in goochland where i will jump on a trampoleeeen until the end of time and run around a huge field where no one can hear you scream. tomorrow, j.golds and i are going to the beach and will try to find the shittiest hotel we can.

god. i am never, ever too busy for hot celebrity gossip. britney spears has been freaking out, crying, cleaning up dog poop with designer dresses, and having hair that looks suspiciously heinous for fake hair at photo shoots and on set of her new video (WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS OH MY GOD.) i can smell the redbull and cigarette burps from the internet. lindsay lohan has been walking around in a bikini with what looks like two travel sized cereal boxes strapped around her ankle. (i would like to know exactly how alcohol monitors work. you know, like after  they are ripped off of the body in a fit of rage by a pseudo-lesbian-cocaine-monster-she-beast.) she is not really a lesbian though, because i am pretty sure her DJ friend is an 80 year old man. it's all real exciting to a girl who loves the eeeenternet as much as i do, but i am worried that these dignified ladies are stealing focus from what's REALLY important: HOW AMAZING BETH DITTO LOOKS ALL THE TIME.


that's all, real life is totally great but i do not have anything to say about it right now.

i had jury duty and even though the judge specifically TOLD us it wasn't going to be anything like CSI, i played it like a total docudrama. there was a moment where i almost lunged across the deliberation table to grab this dude's throat and shout "THE LOGIC IS FLAWED!!! DON'T YOU GET IT!?" and then i would have pulled his ear to my mouth and whispered "if an innocent man goes down, i'm taking you down with him." and then i would have put some sunglasses on. and taken them off again. but only to just put them back on. (of course you can have as many altoids as you want, you are the best looking man in hollywood, david caruso.)

two things; the 48 hour film project is this weekend and we are going to win. also i've lost 20 pounds. it does not compare with the fact that my baby loses weight like he is on a mission from god, but it is good enough for me.

i don't have a lot of things to say on the internet lately.

the universe has been pretty great to me. i woke up to find a mixtape affixed to my car window this morning, with a half-finished attempt of drawing me riding a unicorn to buffalo inside the case. it's so precious i wanna bash someone's skull in!
i'm going to buffalo, ny this weekend for csz east coast tourney, i am so excited. i loves to travel! i loves to do improv comedy!
plus plus plus! the csz SUMMER CHALLENGE starts on monday; if you haven't heard about it, it's great and i do not feel like explaining it, however i'm the "master of antics" and there's a weblog here where you can read all about it. i should note that since that first post, we've also scored a month's worth of free martial arts classes, and potentially some climbing seshes as well. i'm super stoked on it. dave gau is a marketing genius, i suppose that's why he owns his own business. now i just have to figure out how to get 12 on my side for some mega publicity. sidenote: that's GOING to happen. it's not too late to sign up for it either, if yr lookin' to shed some LBs and be postitivley positive! just follow the links okay kay kay.

there's a couple new pictures on my fotoblog. my sister's moving to charlottesville tomorrow; i get my big basement room back. i'm trying to take over the storage room next to it for a studio/darkroom, also. i'm working in the office as much as christine will let me. i'm thinking about getting some tattoos soon. life is good.

today i'm thankful for free ice cream.

one of the best weeks of my life- riding bikes drunk, givin' "sup ladies?" to all the beach week bitches in our hood. the house we stayed at was sick-huge and the view was embarrassingly great. the water was cold but i ran in so far that i couldn't hear anything but the waves and when i looked back my friends were waving and grinning. PJ and thomas came up for a couple days; i'm thankful for their innate sense of finding the cheapest seafood, and breakfast diners that serve cheesy grits and scrapple AND play the pixies. amaretto sours and a six-pack a night. i'm not sure if i tanned but did i EVER freckle (surprise.?) i think i hate the internet, and i think i'm closer to god; in a "i'm like not religious but i am spiritual" way, amirite? i want to move to the outer banks.

hey dudes do you own a bike rack, like for a car? can you let me borrow yr bike rack? come on. lola's steppin' out (i'm sorry my bike has the same name as your new dog; i promise i named it like 9 years ago. when i won it. along with tickets to see hanson. no joke, lady.) and we're going to the beach.

i've got everything i need!!! i've got a big bag of quarters to play bust-a-move and pinball all day long, i've got about fifteen sundresses, i've got my SPF 8 sunscreen (because i'm a fucking rebel.) and another bag of quarters to buy some tasty brewdogz. all i need is to put my bike on my car!

you know what's super depressing? the fact that gmu finally closed my email account. i didn't even know about it; just all of a sudden OH HELLO YOUR ID IS NO LONGER VALID. i don't wanna think about the wealth of information i lost, or how many emails i am not going to get anymore. all the good gmail names are taken now, too. i want something professional but all the "kholcomb" and "kmholcomb" and even "katiekatiekatie"s are taken. someone has the email address "katiekatiekatie@gmail.com" and as soon as i get a new account i am going to write them a letter. i am thinking about going with one of the alternate suggestions that gmail makes to me, which i am not sure how the formulaic responce for this works. "kmholcomb is taken, how about solid.kmholcomb?" "katieholcomb is taken, how about katieholcombing69?" WHAT? "katieholcombdeep" has to be the front runner though. katie.holcomb.deep.ready.69@gmail.com. i bet that's not taken. either way, i realized after finally discovering a nontaken name that it will not let me sign up, because i guess i wasn't invited. will someone plz invite me to use gmail or something? i am so upset, i do not get this! i used to love the internet and now i don't anymore!

i could watch the rube goldberg machines from pitagora suicchi all day long. most days, i do.

although it was a total bum sesh not being able to make it up to northern va this weekend, i'm constantly thrilled with how great it is that i work with my best friends. look, soulmates up north, i WILL make it up to you for not hangin' this weekend. i WILL do something great for all of you because i really do miss you, and am probably guessing that you guys think i am just saying that at this point. but i ain't lyin', i'm just a flake!

hey friends. i stayed up all night long because my sleep schedule's been pretty terrible, and i figure if i can keep on truckin' until like, ten tonight, i'll be all tuckered out and back on track. this whole "not having a job but miraculously having money to chill hard whenever i want" thing is REALLY starting to take a toll on this ol' gal!
